A list of the economic reforms in China from 1978 to 2004 is presented. "Open Door" policy was initiated in 1978. This policy awarded foreign trade and investment to begin. Special economic zones were created in 1980. In 1986, provisional bankruptcy law was passed for state-owned enterprises. Stock exchange was started in Shenzhen in 1990. The latest economic reform is the Constitution amended to guarantee private property rights. |
