The article reports that the construction of a second maritime city in the Hamriyah Free Zone in the United Arab Emirates is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2006. It will cater specifically to marine infrastructure related to the oil and gas sector. Real estate developer Nakheel is investing an estimated $175 million in the construction of a major mixed-use offshore facility in Dubai to serve the region's maritime industry. |
